Bayern Munich opened their Champions League campaign with a dominant 5-0 victory over Bodø/Glimt at the Allianz Arena, scoring all five goals in a devastating second-half display after a frustrating first 45 minutes. The visitors, who reached the knockout stages last season, held firm in the first half. Goalkeeper Nikita Haikin produced a string of saves, denying Luis Díaz's header on 5 minutes, Musiala's effort on 40 minutes, and Kimmich's volley on 44 minutes. Kimmich also hit the post on 35 minutes. But the game turned on a cruel twist of fate. Haikin picked up an injury just before half-time and was replaced by debutant Julian Faye Lund. Within two minutes of the restart, Lund was picking the ball out of his net. Jamal Musiala, making his first start since returning from neurological issues, latched onto a blocked Kane shot and fired into the far corner. Kane himself doubled the lead on 61 minutes, heading home Olise's free-kick. Sondre Brunstad Fet was booked on 58 minutes for a foul on Olise. Alphonso Davies made it 3-0 on 77 minutes with a thunderous volley from a corner, before Olise added a stunning fourth on 83 minutes, curling the ball into the top corner from 22 metres. Odin Bjørtuft was sent off on 87 minutes for a professional foul on Olise. The Frenchman completed his brace in stoppage time, finishing clinically to seal the rout. Bayern dominated with 74% possession and 20 shots. Olise was named man of the match. Bayern sit top of the group stage table with three points.
