CSKA Moscow ended a four-match winless run in the Russian Premier League with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Rodina at the VEB Arena, inspired by a man-of-the-match display from Ivan Oblyakov. The matchday 10 clash, played on 11 October 2026, saw Oblyakov involved in all three goals as CSKA climbed to sixth place with 17 points. Danil Krugovoi opened the scoring in the 24th minute, converting Oblyakov's through-ball after a swift counter-attack. Oblyakov then got on the scoresheet himself in the 35th minute, intercepting a loose pass in midfield, driving forward and firing into the far corner past the goalkeeper. The third goal arrived in the 80th minute, with Oblyakov turning provider once again for Krugovoi, who sealed his brace with a precise low finish into the near corner. It was Oblyakov's best performance of the season, taking his goal involvements to seven in ten league games. CSKA coach Marko Nikolic praised his side's ruthlessness in front of goal after the match, singling out Oblyakov for his versatility. Rodina, coached by Aleksandr Pavlenko, suffered their fourth consecutive defeat and remain 15th with six points. Can CSKA build on this result and challenge for European qualification.
