Borussia Dortmund maintained their perfect start to the Bundesliga season with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Paderborn at Signal Iduna Park, extending their winning run to three matches and keeping their place at the top of the table. The hosts took the lead on 5 minutes when Serhou Guirassy finished clinically from Fabio Silva's pass, curling the ball into the far corner with his trademark composure and netting his fourth goal in three league games this season. Guirassy thought he had scored again on 32 minutes, but the goal was disallowed for offside after a VAR review, much to the frustration of the home crowd. Laurin Ulrich was booked on 39 minutes for a foul in midfield. In first-half stoppage time, Guirassy had another goal ruled out for offside, denying him a first-half brace. In the second half, Job Bellingham was booked on 66 minutes for a cynical challenge. Maximilian Beier doubled the lead on 80 minutes with a powerful strike from outside the box after Felix Nmecha's pass, before Marcel Sabitzer sealed the rout on 89 minutes, finishing Nmecha's cross from the right and scoring his first goal of the campaign. Dortmund dominated with 19 shots and 64% possession, while Paderborn managed just 7 attempts. Guirassy was named man of the match for his goal and constant threat. With nine points from three games, Dortmund top the table, while Paderborn remain 14th with three points.
