Strasbourg 1-1 Monaco: Brunner stunner rescues point as Monaco drop first points (highlights)

Strasbourg held Monaco to a dramatic 1-1 draw at the Stade de la Meinau, ending the visitors' perfect start to the Ligue 1 season and preventing them from extending their winning run to four matches. The first half was a lively, end-to-end affair in which Strasbourg arguably had the better chances, pressing high and disrupting Monaco's rhythm in midfield. Monaco suffered an early blow when talented youngster Anis Soubeir was forced off with an injury on 22 minutes, replaced by Matthis Abline. Despite enjoying the lion's share of possession, Monaco failed to register a single shot on target in the opening 20 minutes. The hosts took a deserved lead on 52 minutes in bizarre fashion when Sadibou Sane, attempting to clear Oso's inswinging free-kick, headed the ball past his own goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky.
