Ryazan 2-0 Zenit Penza: Perfilov and Kotov seal routine win (full match highlights)

Ryazan secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over Zenit Penza in their Second League Division B Group 3 matchday 17 clash at Ryazan Arena, in front of a passionate home crowd that urged their team forward throughout the ninety minutes. Denis Perfilov opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a clinical finish into the far corner, capping off a swift attacking move that began on the left flank. The match turned decisively in the 38th minute when a Zenit Penza player was shown a straight red card for a reckless challenge in midfield, leaving the visitors to play the remainder of the game with ten men. From that moment on, Ryazan seized complete control and began methodically picking apart the opposing defence. Artem Kotov doubled Ryazan's lead in the 72nd minute, rising highest to meet a corner and heading powerfully into the near corner to seal all three points for the home side. Ryazan dominated possession with 61 percent of the ball and created the bulk of the chances throughout the contest, testing the visiting goalkeeper on several occasions. Zenit Penza struggled to mount any meaningful response and failed to register a single shot on target across the entire match. The win strengthens Ryazan's position in the upper reaches of the Group 3 table and keeps their promotion push firmly on track. In the reverse fixture played on April 11, 2026, in Penza, Ryazan also emerged victorious by a 2-1 scoreline, showing their consistency against this particular opponent. Can Ryazan maintain this momentum in their push for promotion and sustain their form until the end of the campaign.
