Denmark 2-4 Portugal: Bruno Fernandes masterclass seals win amid Ronaldo chaos (full match highlights)

Portugal maintained their perfect Nations League record with a thrilling 4-2 victory over Denmark at Parken, a match overshadowed by Cristiano Ronaldo's shock walkout from the training camp on the eve of the game. João Cancelo opened the scoring in the 13th minute, dinking a deft finish over Mads Hermansen after a neat one-two with Gonçalo Ramos. Denmark responded through Mikkel Damsgaard, who finished crisply off the upright in the 23rd minute following Joakim Mæhle's cutback. But the parity lasted barely two minutes. Bruno Fernandes, the game's outstanding performer, threaded a precise pass into the path of Gonçalo Ramos, who poked home with the toe of his left boot. Denmark levelled again in the 53rd minute when Rasmus Højlund, played through by Damsgaard, showed consummate composure to lift his finish over Diogo Costa, celebrating with Ronaldo's iconic 'Siuuu'. Portugal refused to be rattled. Vitinha restored the lead in the 67th minute, rising unopposed to head home Fernandes' cross. Substitute João Félix sealed the win in the 87th minute, his strike taking a deflection to wrong-foot Hermansen. Fernandes provided two assists and was deservedly named man of the match, orchestrating a performance that saw Portugal record 10 shots on target and an xG of 2.67. Jorge Jesus deflected questions about Ronaldo after the game, insisting: 'No one is bigger than the team.' Portugal lead Group A4 with nine points. Can this Portugal side thrive without their iconic captain.
